Windland has assembled and purchased approximately 100 parcels of land over an eleven year period in order to develop this site in Mojave, California. The wind resource on this property is regarded as one of the best in California.
After environmental work was completed, and zoning was granted. Windland partnered with enXco, (a division of a large French utility company) as co-developer of the project. By late 2004, sixty 1 MW Mitsubishi turbines were installed. The clean energy produced by this project is being sold to San Diego Gas & Electric.
