The Power County project is located on 7,000 acres of private land south-east of American Falls, Idaho.
The Power County site is rated at 100 Megawatts of turbine capacity, will include up to 100 turbines, and is expected to generate enough electricity to power over 25,000 homes.
This project boasts strong community support. This project will allow farmers to receive significant royalties from the turbine operation and will give them additional income to augment their farming operations.
In addition to new job creation in the community, the tax base in the county will significantly increase.
Windland is excited to work in Power County to develop a clean, renewable source of electricity for the community.
This project could begin construction in late 2010 or early 2011.
