The Power County project is located on 7,000 acres of private and state land south-east of American Falls, Idaho.
The Power County site could build out to 100 Megawatts of turbine capacity. Currently the project has executed 2 Power Purchase Agreements with Idaho Power for delivery of 10 Average Megawatts.
This project boasts strong community support. This project will allow farmers to receive significant royalties from the turbine operation and will give them additional income to augment their farming operations.
In addition to new job creation in the community, the tax base in the county will significantly increase.
Windland is excited to work in Power County to develop a clean, renewable source of electricity for the community.
The Power County Project is set to come online at the end of 2011.
