Roald Doskeland
President
Mr. Doskeland founded Windland in 1982 which makes
him a pioneer in this industry. Mr. Doskeland guided
the company through the many obstacles facing the industry
over the years. This has resulted in a successful operation
that is the basis for the company’s current expansion. |
Prior to entering
the wind energy business, Mr. Doskeland built a successful
manufacturing company that is now the leader in it’s
field.
Mr. Doskeland came to the U.S. in 1962 as an exchange
student from Norway. He received a B.S. in Civil Engineering
from Drexel University and an MBA from the University of
California Los Angeles

Windland, Inc. is developer,
owner and operator of wind power projects. The company ranks
among the pioneers of the American wind power industry. It
has operated one of the first wind farms in the United States,
in one of the toughest wind regimes in North America, for over
20 years.
Windland, Inc. was the
first American company to install the Vestas V-25 series
turbines, the first commercially successful “out-of-the-box” wind
generator. Over the last two decades,few wind farm
operators anywhere has had more experience with a wider
range of wind power technology than Windland.
Windland, Inc. is headquartered in Boise, Idaho. It manages
wind farms in California and has projects under development
in Idaho,Oregon and California. Windland also markets
reconditioned wind turbine equipment for use in distributed
generation applications.
